Ed Prescott Confirms Senior Management Changes at Prescott Jones Insurance Brokers

“I am pleased to announce with immediate effect that my teammate, Mike Protheroe (pictured right), will assume responsibilities as Managing Director of Prescott Jones.

Mike joined the business in 2008. He has proven himself both in terms of his excellent client work and also in his leadership qualities as part of the senior management team. Mike has the skills and energy to drive the business forward to the next stage as part of the Brown & Brown team.

I have enjoyed navigating the business through its journey to become part of the Brown & Brown family and the benefits to our clients of being a leading global insurance intermediary. My first love in business has always been my client work and I will now concentrate my activities supporting my clients, many of which I am proud to call friends.”

Mike Protheroe said:

“I am delighted to take the role of Managing Director. I have had a great mentor in Ed, and I will continue to draw on his wise counsel.

Prescott Jones is in a great place. Our commitment to local delivery of service and independent advice has been at the heart of our success over 35 years. We now combine this commitment with the resources, capabilities and negotiating power of a Global broker.

We have an experienced and loyal team and I will enjoy leading them in the next stage of the Prescott Jones journey”

With Mike’s promotion, it affords us the opportunity to recognise the contribution of Julie Heatley-Thomas to our business success.

With immediate effect, Julie steps into the role of Sales Director having been heavily involved in Prescott Jones’ development for the last 14 years.

Julie said:

“I am thrilled to take this opportunity to help spread the Prescott Jones message across South Wales and the West. We have a compelling proposition.

I will enjoy working with Mike and the wider management team to continue to progress the business”
