Solicitors' Professional Indemnity

Since the closure of the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in August 2000, Prescott Jones has sought to provide a personal service to law firms across the country.

Traditionally, in the run up to what was the 1st October renewal deadline, solicitors receive mass mail shots requiring completion of numerous forms to ensure that competitive quotations are received. Our approach is to undertake an initial consultation meeting with you following which we can obtain quotations from a broad range of insurers approved by The Law Society. This will avoid the unnecessary duplication of effort involved in your completing multiple application forms but will give you the peace of mind that you are receiving quotations from across the market.

We act for a broad range of solicitor firms in terms of size and areas of specialty and have gained a wealth of experience in this area and can advise specifically on any successor practice, run-off cover and incorporated practice issues you may have.

The changing nature of the solicitor professional indemnity market means that we negotiate the most competitive premiums on your behalf at each renewal and make our recommendations to you based on the premium charged allied to the respective stability and claims handling merits of each insurer in the solicitor professional indemnity market.

Our independent status and the respect in which we are held in this sector means we can access specialist schemes providers as well as open market insurers and it is this that differentiates us from our competitors,
